My experience in the english program

 Hello everyone, and welcome to my last blog post! 

Today I’m gonna talk about my experience in the english program and in general,  how I feel because of this online semester.

Well, first of all I’m person who really likes to learn new things, and english was always one of those things, even when I’m not that good in it, I always try to practice when it’s possible for me and I think that use the blogs was an excellent opportunity to improve my english level because to blog in the most correct way possible I had to practice even more that before and look up vocabulary. Also when it’s necessary I always try to ask for help from my friends who understand english better than me. However, the online mode increases the difficulty of learning this language to me because I’m very shy, so it’s more difficult for me to participate so actively in classes as other classmates do. Also the internet connection and the other responsibilities that I have to do, are other considerable obstacles.  

Now, I wanna improve my english specifically in reading and to do that I plan to continue reading news in english, just as I have done recently, but also at the same time I plan to continue watching even more english movies.  

These days I usually use and practice english when I’m listening to music.

Blog 5: Music

 Welcome to my blog!

 
I hope everybody is fine. This week we will talk about my favorite singer or group. In my case, I like music groups more, because the music I usually listen to is related to rock and metal, so they focus on various musical instruments and vocalizations for a much more powerful and strong rhythm than other categories.

Choosing a favorite band is very difficult for me, but I have a band that I will always carry in my heart that I don't listen to much at present, but I remember it fondly and it is Green Day, which is made up of three people; Billie Joe Armstrong who is the lead vocalist and guitarist, Mike Dirnt who plays bass and Tre Cool who plays drums. The albums that I like and excite the most are American Idiot (2004) and 21st Century Breakdown (2009), because I grew up listening to them by my older brother, so every time I listen to a song from these albums it is as if it transported me to past, I am very nostalgic to hear them and to know that they accompanied me in the best stage of my life which was my childhood.

 

The musical genre that I like the most as I had already said at the beginning is rock and metal, but it is different from the musical genre of Green Day, since it is alternative rock, which is usually represented by the lyrics of their songs more than because of its musical instruments or the sound itself of the voice when singing, so it is very different from the type of music that I usually listen to today that is melodic Death metal genre like Arch Enemy. I like this style of music because I release a lot of tension when listening to it and the sound especially of the instruments gives me a feeling of maximum concentration and at the same time encourages me when I am bad.

 

Blog 4: My future job

 

My future job 

 

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog, today I will talk about the type of work that I would like to have a future.

In my case, I have always had the dream of being able to make a change in the country at an educational level, especially since I studied in my secondary and basic education in very vulnerable schools. Therefore, my future work, I would like it to be in the Ministry of Education, so that I can reduce the inequities that exist in the municipal schools of the country.

 

In order to achieve the above, I must complement what I am studying, which is Public Administration with a higher degree, which in my case is a Master in Public Policy. Although this work is rather of a national nature and more rigid on the issue of being able to travel abroad, I don`t rule out the idea of ​​being able to do it, because I may also like to enter the investigation area, so I will probably have to travel and constantly interact with other countries to better understand the reality that each student lives in Chile, I mean in different communities or regions of the country, and then I could compare this different realities and practice with other countries that have made a good I work in the educational area.

On the other hand, with regard to salary, the truth is that money doesn`t matter much to me, so to grow and develop as a professional, and to fulfill my goal, which is to help the welfare of the population, I will be very happy.

Blog 3: Favorite Series/Movie

 

Good morning to all. Today I will talk about my favorite series or movie.
Well, personally, I like series much more than movies, because they have continuity and several doubts are resolved during the chapters due to their depth in the characters and contexts. The series I like is a drama / comedy genre called Atypical. This is about a boy named Sam who has autism spectrum disorder, he is shown as a very intelligent person and quite independent to be able to make decisions, so throughout the seasons he tries to be able to experience different situations such as having a girlfriend or thinking about college, so that he can increasingly control his emotions without help from his parents. The above is clearly surrounded by how overprotective his mother named Elsa is when he sees such a situation.

 

 

The characters I like the most are Sam and his sister (Casey), due to the close relationship they have.

The series has approximately 3 seasons, which have approximately 10 chapters each with a duration of 30 minutes. On the other hand, I am still waiting for the fourth season that will premiere in early 2021. It`s my favorite series, because  I have a cousin who has autism and the series is quite close to the reality of people who suffer from it, especially due to because it`s usually believed that they can practically do nothing at all in their daily life, due to this disorder, but it isn`t like that, since as shown in the series there are several prejudices about this, such as being able to relate, resolve complex problems or to have feeling with other people.

 

Blog 2: About my Pet

Hello, welcome to my blog, today I will talk about my pet.

My current Pet is a kitten, which has lived with us for approximately 3 years, she has a very soft white coat. We met her when she was very little and she decided to come to our home alone, since she was from the street. Due to her unexpected arrival, we did not name her at first, but she is currently called Duquesa.

What I love most about my kitten is that she is very playful and affectionate with my little nephews, she always plays very carefully so as not to scratch them. She also loves to sleep with me, because she is very cold and loves to eat, especially fish. About a week ago, she had three children, whom she protects a lot and loves them, she does not leave them alone for even a second (she is a very good mother).

Blog 1: A country I would like to visit:

Hi welcome to my blog. Today I am going to talk about the country that I would like to visit. When I was little I loved to go on a trip with my family within the country, we knew new places, new people, landscapes, among others, so as time passed, the idea of ​​living the experience of visiting a another country took shape, especially to know the culture, the food (I love to eat) and also because I like to go out of the ordinary and things related to outdoor training. Therefore, tue country that I would like to visit is Iceland and the wonderful and extravant places tuat it has, such as volcanic beaches, ice caves and at the same time thermal lagoons which one can enjoy and appreciate the night and nature, since they have little contamination. 

On the other hand, what I also like a lot is because the country makes to me very curious, especially because it is said that it is the safest and quietest country in the world, which I would clearly like to see because my country (Chile) is characterized by the theft, corruption and for being individualistic or rather cold as people, so living these two perspectives would be amazing.

I'm still not sure if I would like to live forever in Iceland, but what I am sure is that. If I go one day, I would like to stay for a long time, because then I'll be able to discover many new places in fact to really enjoy that peaceful way of life for a time, without as many concerns as it's in Chile.
