Blog 3: Favorite Series/Movie

 

Good morning to all. Today I will talk about my favorite series or movie.
Well, personally, I like series much more than movies, because they have continuity and several doubts are resolved during the chapters due to their depth in the characters and contexts. The series I like is a drama / comedy genre called Atypical. This is about a boy named Sam who has autism spectrum disorder, he is shown as a very intelligent person and quite independent to be able to make decisions, so throughout the seasons he tries to be able to experience different situations such as having a girlfriend or thinking about college, so that he can increasingly control his emotions without help from his parents. The above is clearly surrounded by how overprotective his mother named Elsa is when he sees such a situation.

 

 

The characters I like the most are Sam and his sister (Casey), due to the close relationship they have.

The series has approximately 3 seasons, which have approximately 10 chapters each with a duration of 30 minutes. On the other hand, I am still waiting for the fourth season that will premiere in early 2021. It`s my favorite series, because  I have a cousin who has autism and the series is quite close to the reality of people who suffer from it, especially due to because it`s usually believed that they can practically do nothing at all in their daily life, due to this disorder, but it isn`t like that, since as shown in the series there are several prejudices about this, such as being able to relate, resolve complex problems or to have feeling with other people.
